Drifters Safari Transportation

We show you the various types of transport option that different tours utilize. Each of the vehicles is customised for safaris and therefore have large windows or a popup roof for easy game viewing. If you are in any doubt which vehicle a specific tour uses then please contact your Drifters Adventure Travel tour consultant.

	Safari Minibus
Most safaris in East Africa are conducted in these Safari Minibuses. With large pop up roofs they are designed for wildlife viewing and photography. Although equipped with 9 seats - the vehicles only seat 7 people, thus ensuring you of a window position!
	4x4 Safari Vehicles
Selected safaris in Tanzania use sturdier 4 X 4 vehicles. These either have pop up roofs or have no sides. They are used when the terrain requires a more rugged vehicle, have space for luggage and are designed to get you from A to B.
	Fly In Safaris
Join a fly in safari and you'll fly directly to a specific lodge. The planes can vary from small single engine airplanes to large twin engine planes ( as shown in the image ). Please note that luggage space is limited - speak with your Drifters Adventures consultant for packing tips.
	Game Drive Vehicles
For our fly in safaris you will be flown directly to the lodge - and use their 'Game Drive Vehicles'. Rugged & tough, these vehicles will get you to some of the more remote game viewing areas. This picture shows a Kichwa Tembo Game Viewing vehicle.
